A&K Robotics has secured $5.8 million in Series A funding to transition its autonomous "Cruz" mobility pods from pilot projects to permanent installations in international airports. Co-led by BDC Capital and New Yorkβs Vantage Futures, the round marks a significant expansion phase for the 2015-founded startup, which is addressing the global surge in demand for assistive airport services. By utilizing its proprietary "Kinesos AI" navigation layer, the company aims to scale manufacturing from dozens to hundreds of units per month across three hubs, including a new R&D facility in Surrey, BC.
