News of the Day

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) has launched "Oxygen," a program providing its AI startups access to a massive Nvidia H100 GPU cluster. This allows them to train AI models without needing long-term, costly cloud provider contracts. Oxygen is intended to help startups compete against tech giants like Google and Microsoft, who dominate the GPU market. In exchange for access to GPUs, a16z receives equity in these companies. Other investors, like Nat Friedman and Y Combinator, offer similar GPU resources to support AI startups.
