📝 Irregular raises $80M
News of the Day
AI security startup Irregular raised $80 million in a Sequoia- and Redpoint-led round at a $450 million valuation, with participation from Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport, as it seeks to expand its work securing advanced models. Formerly known as Pattern Labs, Irregular has already established itself through evaluations cited by OpenAI and Anthropic, and its SOLVE framework is widely used to assess models’ vulnerability-detection ability. Now, the company is pushing into risk forecasting, building simulated environments where AIs act as both attacker and defender to spot emergent threats before models are released. With AI systems increasingly able to discover software flaws, the stakes are high, and Irregular’s founders say their mission is to keep pace with frontier labs by building security tools that evolve as fast as the models themselves.
