Founded by AngelList’s Naval Ravikant and former Tinder executive Brian Norgard, AirChat introduces a more personal touch to social media interactions by using voice. Users can re-record their posts if needed, adding to the platform's user-friendly appeal. The app's transcription accuracy is notably high and works well in multiple languages, including Spanish and Hindi. However, the platform’s potential for lasting impact is uncertain, and it is currently appealing mainly to tech industry professionals. Additionally, its minimalistic approach to content moderation, focusing more on tone than content, raises concerns about its capability to handle harmful or inappropriate material effectively. This approach draws parallels to Clubhouse, which faced criticism for its lax moderation policies.
