Battery-swapping startup Ample secured $25 million from Mitsubishi Corporation to scale its technology, aiming to expand from a few hundred vehicles and swapping stations to thousands globally in 2025. The partnership with Mitsubishi grants Ample access to fleet customers and renewable energy resources, boosting its mission to electrify commercial fleets in Europe and Japan, where early successes include contracts with carsharing and ridesharing companies like Stellantis-owned Free2Move and MK Taxi.
