News of the Day

Apple has announced its acquisition of Pixelmator, the popular Lithuania-based image-editing platform, known for its Pixelmator Pro and Photomator apps. While Pixelmator assured users there won’t be "material changes" to its apps in the near future, Apple’s history of integrating acquired tech suggests its features may soon be incorporated directly into the Photos app. Founded in 2007, Pixelmator has built a strong following across iOS, macOS, iPadOS, and visionOS, though it has notably avoided Android. The acquisition is likely to further Apple's ambitions in AI-powered photo editing, following recent enhancements like the Clean Up tool, seen as a counter to Google’s Magic Eraser. The deal awaits regulatory approval.

Meet your own personal AI Agent, for everything…Proxy

Imagine if you had a digital clone to do your tasks for you. Well, meet Proxy…

Last week, Convergence, the London based AI start-up revealed Proxy to the world, the first general AI Agent.

Users are asking things like “Book my trip to Paris and find a restaurant suitable for an interview” or “Order a grocery delivery for me with a custom weekly meal plan”.

You can train it how you choose, so all Proxy’s are different, and personalised to how you teach it. The more you teach it, the more it learns about your personal work flows and begins to automate them.
