Apple CEO Tim Cook told investors the company remains open to acquisitions and partnerships to accelerate its artificial intelligence ambitions, confirming during Apple’s Q4 2025 earnings call that its next-generation, AI-powered Siri is still on track to launch in 2026. Cook reiterated Apple’s “three-pronged” AI strategy — combining in-house foundation models, third-party partnerships, and targeted M&A — and said the company is “open to pursuing M&A if it will advance our roadmap.” He highlighted Apple’s expanding use of its Private Cloud Compute system for secure AI processing, noting new server manufacturing underway in Houston to support Apple Intelligence. Cook also said AI is increasingly influencing consumer choices, calling Apple Intelligence “a growing factor” in iPhone purchases and hinting at more AI partnerships to come, following its integration of ChatGPT into Siri.
