Ark Climate has secured $2.5 million in pre-seed funding to equip German municipalities with the digital "nervous system" needed to reach their 2045 climate neutrality goals. Led by the Climate Tech VC Satgana and backed by the Federal Ministry of Research, the round will fuel the development of AI-powered "Climate Intelligence" tools designed to help city planners coordinate complex projects like district heating and bike lane expansion across fragmented departments. Already serving 43 German municipalities, the 12-person team is addressing a critical sector that accounts for 16% of the country’s total carbon footprint—roughly 100 million tons of CO2e. This investment places Ark Climate at the center of a burgeoning European trend in digital sustainability, joining recent movers like London's Mondra and Finland's Capalo AI in a shared mission to transform raw environmental data into actionable municipal strategy.
