News of the Day

Ottawa-based Augmentt has raised $13 million in Series A funding led by New York’s Camber Partners to help managed service providers (MSPs) secure and monitor their small and midsize business clients’ growing stack of cloud and SaaS apps, building on the founders’ long track record in the MSP market after their previous startup N-able sold for $120 million USD. Optimized for Microsoft environments, Augmentt’s platform gives MSPs automated tools to audit, detect, and protect against SaaS-related security threats at a time when global managed services are projected to grow from $365 billion USD in 2024 to over $511 billion USD by 2029, and when MSPs themselves are grappling with rising labour costs, regulatory pressures, and customer demands. Camber said it was drawn to Augmentt’s deep industry expertise and strong execution, and the company plans to use the new capital to accelerate product development, partnerships, and go-to-market efforts as it pursues its mission to help MSPs deliver world-class security at scale—an area that’s also seeing heightened attention from peers like 1Password as SaaS sprawl expands cybersecurity risk.
