Anysphere, a startup developing an AI-powered coding assistant called Cursor, has raised over $60 million in a Series A round at a $400 million post-money valuation, co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Thrive Capital, with participation from Stripe CEO Patrick Collison. Founded by MIT students Michael Truell, Sualeh Asif, Arvid Lunnemark, and Aman Sanger, Anysphere previously secured an $11 million seed round led by OpenAI Startup Fund. The company is part of a growing field of AI coding copilots, reflecting increasing investor interest as tools like GitHub Copilot gain popularity among developers.
