News of the Day

BeyondMath has finalized a $18.5 million Seed round to ignite what CEO Alan Patterson calls the "ChatGPT moment for physics," aiming to replace sluggish legacy simulations with a foundational generative AI model. By training its system directly on first-principles physics rather than just data patterns, the DeepTech startup claims a staggering 1,000x acceleration in simulation speed, compressing design cycles for complex systems from months to mere minutes. This "Generative Physics" approach has already attracted high-stakes partnerships, including a €16 million project with Honeywell to optimize aerospace components for fuel efficiency and a collaboration with an undisclosed Formula 1 team to refine real-time aerodynamics. With a fresh €8.4 million extension led by Cambridge Innovation Capital, BeyondMath plans to double its headcount and expand its research capacity in 2026, positioning itself at the forefront of a broader €55.8 million investment trend into "physical-AI" systems that bridge the gap between software intelligence and heavy industrial engineering.
