News of the Day

Manchester-based tender management platform BidScript has secured $800k in a pre-Seed funding round, elevating its total institutional capital raised to date beyond $1 million. The fresh funding round featured critical follow-on backing from NPIF II – PXN Equity Finance, which is actively managed by PXN Ventures as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II, alongside new participant SFC Capital. Founded in 2023 by university friends Henry Brogan and Tyler McCarthy, the startup deploys an AI-native workspace explicitly designed to automate the discovery, qualification, drafting, and compliance lifecycle for public and private sector contracts. By moving procurement teams away from antiquated spreadsheets and siloed shared drives, BidScript focuses directly on enterprise clients in the high-stakes construction, engineering, IT, and education sectors across the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Middle East, with early customers reporting tender win rate improvements of up to 50%. This capital injection reflects an active 2026 investment landscape for European GovTech and workflow automation, arriving alongside recent procurement tech rounds that include Pivot's $34.4 million Series B, Stotles' $11.5 million Series A, and Realm's $3.8 million Seed round. Management intends to deploy the capital to aggressively scale its core engineering team, deepen the platform's automated requirement extraction capabilities, and accelerate localized go-to-market strategies across domestic and international procurement corridors.
