📝 Cellbox Solutions raises $3.8M
News of the Day
Cellbox Solutions has secured $3.8 million in Series A funding to scale its "warm-chain" logistics technology, which allows for the global transport of living cells under precise physiological conditions. Led by the digital business angel network Companisto and NRW.BANK, this round—which remains open for further investment through May 2026—will fund the company's international production and expansion into high-growth sectors like cell and gene therapy and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Unlike traditional cold-chain methods that freeze biological materials, Cellbox utilizes a portable CO₂ incubator that maintains individually adjustable temperature and gas levels for up to 48 hours, preserving cell viability and functionality during transit. This investment is part of a broader $36 million surge in European life sciences funding over the 2025–2026 period, highlighting a critical shift toward building the infrastructure necessary for the commercial deployment of advanced, temperature-sensitive therapies.
