Toronto-based FinTech firm Common Wealth has closed an $8.7 million Series A round to accelerate the distribution of its workplace retirement platform for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs). The equity round included a diverse group of backers such as Broadbent Group, AgeTech Capital, and Flow Capital, alongside prominent individual investors like former HOOPP CEO Jim Keohane. Since 2024, the startup has experienced rapid growth, tripling its employer base to serve over 1,500 organizations across Canada.
