This decision, driven by the pandemic's demonstration of broadband's critical importance and national security concerns, might see bipartisan support, despite opposition arguing it could deter telecom investment and amount to government overreach. The FCC aims to ensure an open and fair internet, though questions remain on how to permanently secure net neutrality against future policy reversals.
