📝 FNS raises $1.75M
News of the Day
Copenhagen-based Financial News Systems (FNS) has secured a $1.75 million pre-seed round led by Ugly Duckling Ventures to further develop its "AI-only" financial newsroom. Founded by the former PLX AI team who previously exited to Thomson Reuters, FNS utilizes specialized models to automate the extraction and distribution of data from regulatory filings and press releases for 9,000 companies across North America and Europe. This funding arrives amidst a broader $107.7 million surge in European investor interest for AI-led financial intelligence, with FNS positioning itself as a zero-latency alternative to traditional manual journalism. Through existing partnerships with Dow Jones and FactSet, the startup plans to expand its automated coverage into complex domains such as IPOs, central bank decisions, and macroeconomic statistics, effectively replacing human intervention in the high-speed data delivery chain.
