📝 Freya Industries raises $600k
News of the Day
Swedish security startup Freya Industries has closed an oversubscribed $600k early-stage funding round backed by Foundry Ventures, Longswan Ventures, Propel Capital, and several regional angel investors. The Stockholm-headquartered firm specializes in developing low-cost, software-driven sensor systems designed to locate both drones and their operators simultaneously, alongside connected personal protection alarms for critical infrastructure and security personnel. Freya plans to deploy the new capital to scale its internal technical team, fulfill outstanding customer orders, and expand its footprint across European markets. The investment reflects a growing continent-wide movement toward cost-effective, intelligence-enabled defence infrastructure, joining recent major capital raises by regional peers like Finland’s Kelluu, the UK’s Silicon Microgravity, and Estonia’s Frankenburg Technologies.
