GenAI for Music

News of the Day

Adobe announced Project Music GenAI Control at the Hot Pod Summit in Brooklyn, a platform designed for generating and customizing music using AI. The tool allows users to create audio based on text descriptions or reference melodies and offers various customization options, such as adjusting tempo, intensity, and structure. Currently in the research phase without a UI, the platform was developed in collaboration with the University of California and Carnegie Mellon. Adobe is addressing ethical and legal concerns around GenAI music creation, emphasizing a responsible approach by developing its tools against licensed or public domain data and exploring watermarking technology to identify AI-produced audio.
