📝 Gumloop raises $50M
News of the Day
Gumloop, a San Francisco-based AI automation startup, has raised $50 million USD in a Series B round led by Benchmark to accelerate its expansion into the enterprise market. Founded in 2023 by McGill University classmates Max Brodeur-Urbas and Rahul Behal, the platform—formerly known as AgentHub—allows employees at major companies like Shopify, Ramp, and Instacart to build custom AI agents by linking internal data to advanced models through a highly intuitive, "rave-worthy" user interface. While CEO Brodeur-Urbas initially aimed to reach a $1 billion valuation with only ten employees, the "massive pull" from enterprise clients has expanded the team to 24, prompting plans to open a new office in Vancouver to tap into Canadian technical talent. This all-equity round, which saw participation from Shopify Ventures and Y Combinator, will be used to scale go-to-market efforts and solidify Gumloop's position as a primary bridge between complex AI capabilities and non-developer employees.
