News of the Day
Hailey Welch, the 22-year-old behind the viral "Hawk Tuah" video, has turned fleeting internet fame into a thriving career with Pookie Tools, an AI-powered dating advice app launched this week. Aimed at Gen Z singles, the app provides conversation starters, outfit suggestions, and even a "Flirt Meter" to score text messages' flirtiness. However, its “Bald Predictor” and “Height Detector” tools have sparked controversy, criticized for reinforcing stereotypes about short or bald men. While fun in concept, the app’s generic chatbot responses currently fall short of Welch’s distinct personality. Subscriptions start at $7 weekly, with updates in development.
