📝 Landjourney raises $7.4M
News of the Day
Montréal-based FinTech startup Landjourney has rebranded as Sweet Technologies following a $7.4 million seed funding round led by Diagram, Builders VC, and Cooperative Ventures to expand its AI-driven commercial lending platform beyond the agricultural sector. Founded in 2024 by CEO Luke Johnson and CPO Jeremie Bedard, the company modernizes loan origination and servicing through its flagship platform, SweetAg—which currently processes roughly $10 billion in annual loan volume for major U.S. agricultural lenders and cooperatives by reducing weeks-long credit evaluation timelines to mere days. Building on strong initial adoption in the American market from clients like AgAmerica and CHS Capital, Sweet plans to leverage the fresh capital to scale its Canadian technology team, expand outreach to financial institutions in Canada, and extend its specialized lending software to serve broader commercial banking and credit union sectors.
