French semiconductor pioneer NanoXplore has secured $32 million in new funding to pivot its space-proven technology into the broader European defence market, aiming to become a cornerstone of the continent's electronic sovereignty. Backed by aerospace leader MBDA and Bpifrance’s Defence Innovation Fund, the capital will accelerate the development of high-security, radiation-hardened chips and facilitate strategic acquisitions to consolidate Europe’s microelectronics base. By maintaining a 100% European supply chain and achieving "ITAR-free" status, NanoXplore provides EU defence programs with critical components—like its flagship NG-ULTRA SoC FPGA—that are entirely independent of U.S. export regulations and resilient enough for the harshest battlefield and orbital environments.
