📝 NorBot raises $1M

News of the Day

Vancouver-based robotics startup NorBot Technology has secured $1 million in pre-seed funding from a syndicate of Canadian tech founders, operators, and investors to build a commercial robotics integration platform. Founded in June 2026 by digital product leader David Gratton, repeat entrepreneur Leon Ng, and Misfit Ventures managing partner Douglas Lui, the company aims to bridge foreign robotics hardware with domestic businesses across logistics, real estate, healthcare, and hospitality. NorBot's proprietary fleet-management and digital twin software allows clients to deploy and manage automated cleaning, security, and delivery systems while ensuring operational data remains under Canadian sovereign control. Having already established supplier partnerships with four major robotics manufacturers, the startup will use the fresh capital to further develop its platform and execute initial paid pilot deployments with major clients, including one of Canada's largest commercial landlords and healthcare equipment distributor HME.
