Pragmatech has secured $750,000 in new funding to drive the commercial rollout of iAST®, its AI-powered platform designed to tackle the global crisis of antibiotic resistance. The December 2025 round led by First Drop with participation from Urriellu Ventures comes just months after the software achieved its crucial CE marking (Class IIa Medical Device). By integrating machine learning with real-time patient data and local microbiology patterns, iAST® addresses the dangerous "blind spot" in infection treatment: the 48-hour window between a patient’s initial symptoms and the arrival of definitive lab results. Clinically proven to outperform traditional physician success rates in empirical prescribing, the platform not only reduces diagnostic errors but actively promotes "Antimicrobial Stewardship" by prioritizing treatments that minimize the risk of developing "superbugs."
