📝 Pricepoint raises $4.75M

News of the Day

Montréal-based hospitality tech startup Pricepoint has secured a $4.75 million seed funding round to accelerate the global deployment of its AI-native autonomous revenue engine for independent hotels and hostels. The equity injection features a prominent all-Québec cap table led by Brightspark Ventures, alongside strategic participation from Boreal Ventures and AQC Capital. While traditional revenue management systems generate static pricing suggestions that require manual approval from hotel operations staff, Pricepoint’s platform functions as an autonomous operational layer, continuously ingesting live demand signals, cancelation rates, and shifting hyper-local market dynamics to execute actual room rate adjustments across property management networks in real time. The seed capital will be deployed to double Pricepoint's current 35-person workforce, expand engineering for its core machine learning infrastructure, and deepen enterprise integrations with dominant property management software environments like Cloudbeds and Mews. Highlighting the strategic weight of the round, Brightspark managing partner Sophie Forest and Boreal Ventures managing partner JD Saint-Martin—the former president of Lightspeed Commerce—will both join Pricepoint’s corporate board of directors to guide the startup's international scaling strategy as independent accommodation providers aggressively transition toward automated, algorithmic yield management models.
