📝 Resolve AI raises Series A at $1B valuation
News of the Day
Resolve AI, a startup developing an autonomous "AI Site Reliability Engineer" to automate software maintenance and troubleshooting, has secured a Series A funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners at a $1 billion headline valuation. Despite its relatively modest $4 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), the company achieved "unicorn" status through a complex, multi-tranching investment structure—a trendy maneuver for high-demand AI startups where a portion of equity is sold at a premium to hit the billion-dollar mark. Led by former Splunk executives Spiros Xanthos and Mayank Agarwal, the startup aims to use the fresh capital to scale its real-time system diagnosis tool and compete with rivals like Traversal, capitalizing on a global shortage of human SREs as cloud infrastructures become increasingly unmanageable for manual engineering teams.
