📝 Rocket.new raises $15M

News of the Day

Rocket.new, an AI-powered app development startup from India, has raised $15 million in a seed round led by Salesforce Ventures, with participation from Accel and Together Fund, to compete with vibe-coding rivals like Lovable, Cursor, and Bolt. Launched just three months ago, the platform enables users to build full, production-ready apps from natural-language prompts, rather than prototypes. It has already attracted 400,000 users in 180 countries, including over 10,000 paid subscribers who generate $4.5 million in annual recurring revenue. Rocket.new co-founder and CEO Vishal Virani said the startup aims to scale revenue to $20–25 million by year’s end and $60–70 million by June next year, while expanding its 58-member team, deepening proprietary AI development, and establishing a U.S. headquarters in Palo Alto. The platform has already produced over 500,000 applications, serving individual developers and companies such as Meta, PayPal, and KPMG. It combines large language models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google’s Gemini with Rocket.new’s proprietary deep learning systems to deliver comprehensive, production-ready apps from natural-language prompts.
