📝 Safehire.ai raises $650k
News of the Day
London-based digital risk intelligence startup Safehire.ai has secured $650,000 in follow-on funding from a private investor, bringing its total raised capital to $2 million following a seed round closed in April 2025. Founded in 2024 by former British Army officers Simon Holden and Sean Lumley, the company combines military-intelligence analytical methods, specialized large language models, and human analyst verification to perform AI-powered Digital Risk Screening across surface, deep, and dark web data sources. Designed to surface behavioural, insider, and safeguarding risks for high-trust access and hiring decisions across education, financial services, care, and critical infrastructure sectors, the platform processes up to 10,000 searches daily at a fraction of the cost of traditional manual vetting. Safehire.ai plans to use the new capital to scale its screening platform beyond education into larger enterprise use cases, advance its insider risk detection capabilities, and prepare for international market expansion.
