📝 Sierra Raises $350M

Sierra, the AI agent startup co-founded by former Salesforce co-CEO Bret Taylor and longtime Google executive Clay Bavor, has raised a massive $350 million round led by Greenoaks Capital that values the company at $10 billion just 18 months after launch. Sierra helps enterprises build customer service AI agents and already counts SoFi, Ramp, and Brex among its hundreds of customers. The company has now raised $635 million in total, with earlier backing from Sequoia, Benchmark, ICONIQ, and Thrive. Taylor and Bavor bring deep pedigrees — Taylor co-founded Quip, launched Google Maps, and once chaired Twitter’s board, while Bavor oversaw Gmail and Google Drive — and they are trying to replicate that culture of bold product building with Sierra’s APX program, a rotational track for new computer science grads modeled on Google’s early talent pipeline. With the new funding, Sierra is positioning itself not just as another AI startup, but as one of the most valuable enterprise AI companies in the world, with investors betting that its AI agents could redefine how companies approach customer service.
