SRE.ai, a DevOps automation startup founded by ex-Google Research and DeepMind engineers Edward Aryee and Raj Kadiyala, has emerged from stealth with a $7.2 million seed round led by Salesforce Ventures and Crane Venture Partners. The company is addressing a long-familiar pain point for enterprise engineers: tedious and error-prone workflows, such as metadata conflicts and continuous integration. By offering natural language AI agents, it streamlines DevOps across platforms, including AWS, Salesforce, and ServiceNow. Unlike rivals that are limited to single ecosystems, SRE.ai’s cross-platform approach aims to provide teams with a faster, context-driven way to manage release pipelines, dashboards, and security risks, while freeing up human IT staff for higher-level projects. Backed by YC’s Fall ’24 cohort and already drawing early customer traction, the startup plans to use its fresh capital to hire AI engineers and Salesforce experts as it builds out features for what Aryee and Kadiyala call “the next generation of DevOps experiences.”
