AI music company Suno, currently facing multiple copyright lawsuits, announced its acquisition of WavTool, a browser-based digital audio workstation known for features like AI audio generation and stem separation. While terms weren’t disclosed, most WavTool staff reportedly joined Suno’s product and engineering teams. The acquisition, though completed months ago, was only revealed this week, just after a new lawsuit from country artist Tony Justice and amid ongoing litigation from major record labels. The timing suggests a strategic move to reassure investors following May’s \$125 million funding round and to showcase continued product development amid legal uncertainty.
