Tebi, the Amsterdam-based hospitality platform founded by Adyen co-founder Arnout Schuijff, has raised a €30 million (US$34M) round led by CapitalG, bringing its total funding to €56 million (US$64M) as it prepares to expand beyond the Netherlands into the UK and beyond. Born from Schuijff’s COVID-era side project to help a local bar handle VAT, Tebi has evolved into an all-in-one system for SMBs, managing payments, reservations, inventory, and more, with AI-powered features and a sleek user experience. While it may seem like something Adyen could’ve built, Schuijff deliberately left his CTO post to target this SMB segment from the outside, assembling a seasoned team from Notion, Wolt, and Adyen to drive growth. Already processing nine figures in payment volume annually, Tebi aims to embed itself deeper into the European market, with long-term sights on the U.S. and a broader AI-driven vision for running local businesses more intelligently.
