News of the Day
Telegram has achieved profitability, generating over $1 billion in revenue in 2024 and boasting $500 million in cash reserves, excluding crypto assets. With 12 million premium subscribers, the company has also repaid a significant portion of its $2 billion in debt bonds, taking advantage of favorable market conditions. CEO Pavel Durov highlighted Telegram’s growth initiatives, including ad revenue sharing, paid content channels, and a mini app store, as the platform serves over 950 million monthly active users. Despite earlier projections of profitability by 2025, Telegram is now poised for further expansion and a potential IPO.
