📝 TensorWave Raises $100M

News of the Day

TensorWave, a Las Vegas-based data center startup focused on AMD-powered AI infrastructure, has raised $100 million in a round led by Magnetar and AMD Ventures, bringing its total funding to $146.7 million. Despite investor concerns about overcapacity and rising component tariffs pushing data center build costs up 5–15%, TensorWave reports no slowdown—CEO Darrick Horton says the firm is on track for over $100 million in run-rate revenue this year, a 20x jump from 2024. With a current 8,192-GPU AMD Instinct cluster and plans to scale, TensorWave positions itself as a lower-cost alternative to Nvidia-based clouds, aiming to triple its 40-person team by year-end.
