📝 The Wellness Company raises $1.6M

News of the Day

Former Silicon Valley venture associate Presh Dineshkumar has returned to Toronto to raise nearly $1.6 million in seed funding for his consumer healthtech startup, The Wellness Company (TWC), bringing its total raised to over $2 million. Co-founded alongside software developer Dray Williams, the former Jason Calacanis associate and Launch chief of staff incubated TWC to create specialized wellness applications, yielding four mobile tools—including niche trackers for cold plunges, sunlight, and posture—that together generated six figures in recurring revenue across tens of thousands of users. Backed by BDC Capital’s Seed Venture Fund, BKR Capital, and Launch, TWC will use the new capital to expand its three-person team and refine its flagship AI health companion, Tempo, an iMessage-integrated operating system that aggregates wearable, diet, and biometric data to deliver personalized health guidance
