TikTok is testing a feature that makes all app posts shoppable, aiming to expand TikTok Shop in the U.S. to a multi-billion dollar business. This feature, in limited testing, automatically identifies items in videos, offering "similar items on TikTok Shop" links. Previously, only select influencers and brands could tag products. The move targets significant e-commerce growth, challenging Amazon and leveraging TikTok's vast user base. Despite slowing user growth, over 5 million U.S. customers used TikTok Shop during the Black Friday season, suggesting potential for its e-commerce ambitions.
