News of the Day

Logistics startup UniUni has secured $85 million in new financing to accelerate its gig-powered last-mile delivery network across North America. The funding package consists of a $30 million USD equity round led by Beijing’s Rockets Capital, supported by a mix of Canadian and international investors, and a $55 million USD credit facility from the Royal Bank of Canada. Serving as a critical delivery partner for budget giants like Temu, Shein, and AliExpress, UniUni has seen revenue explode by over 2,000% since 2022, currently reaching 80% of the Canadian population and 65% of the United States. Despite its rapid ascent and ranking among Deloitte's "Fast 50" firms, the company continues to face headwinds from class-action lawsuits and regulatory scrutiny over its labour practices and warehouse conditions as it integrates more AI and robotics into its automated sorting hubs.
