📝 UniUni raises $85M
News of the Day
UniUni, a last-mile logistics startup, has secured $85 million in fresh capital, comprising a $30 million equity round led by Rockets Capital and a $55 million credit facility from RBC, to accelerate its expansion across North America. Founded in 2019, the company specializes in a gig-economy model that leverages passenger vehicles to deliver for e-commerce giants like Shein, Temu, and AliExpress. Despite a 2,000% revenue surge and a top-five ranking on Deloitte’s Fast 50 list, UniUni continues to face significant headwinds, including proposed class-action lawsuits over labor practices and reports of substandard warehouse conditions. The new funding is earmarked for high-tech warehouse automation and robotics as the firm aims to extend its direct delivery reach to 75% of the U.S. population and 95% of Canada.
