📝 VC AI funding in H1 2025 matches total 2024 funding
News of the Day
Venture capital investment in artificial intelligence reached $104.3 billion in the first half of 2025—nearly matching 2024’s full-year total—highlighting AI’s continued dominance in tech funding, according to new PitchBook data. Although the number of deals rose modestly, the average deal size grew significantly, with five $1B+ megadeals, including Anduril, Grammarly, and ScaleAI, accounting for over a third of quarterly capital. AI now accounts for 64.1% of U.S. VC dollars. Meanwhile, overall VC exits hit $67.7 billion in Q2, the highest since the downturn began, though IPOs remain scarce. Fundraising, however, is on pace for a 10-year low.
