News of the Day

Viven, a new digital twin startup founded by Eightfold co-founders Ashutosh Garg and Varun Kacholia, has raised $35 million in seed funding from Khosla Ventures, Foundation Capital, FPV Ventures, and others to tackle one of the most persistent productivity bottlenecks in the workplace: knowledge trapped in people’s heads. The company builds specialized large language models for each employee, creating “digital twins” that can answer work-related questions using data from email, Slack, and Google Docs—even when that employee is unavailable. To address privacy concerns, Viven developed a proprietary “pairwise context and privacy” system that determines what information can be shared and with whom, while also maintaining transparent query logs. Already in use by enterprise clients like Genpact and Eightfold, Viven aims to automate organizational knowledge-sharing in a way that even major players like OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft haven’t yet achieved—betting that its privacy-aware, person-specific memory will become the next layer of enterprise intelligence.
