Waymo is expanding its autonomous ride-hailing service in Austin, offering public rides via the Waymo One app, with plans to fully integrate into Uber by 2025. This follows Waymo’s recent partnership with Uber in Phoenix and comes as part of its push to launch robotaxis in Austin and Atlanta. The service will cover 37 square miles in Austin using Jaguar I-PACE AVs, with free rides likely during the initial phase. Additionally, Waymo is testing its 6th-gen driver with Zeekr vehicles for future deployment.
