📝 Zerops raises $2M
News of the Day
Prague-based cloud platform Zerops has raised a $2 million seed round led by Gi21 Capital to eliminate the traditional "gap" between development and production environments. Founded in 2021 as a spin-off of vshosting.eu, the startup addresses a major pain point in software engineering where applications that work on a developer's local machine often fail upon deployment due to inconsistent infrastructure configurations. Zerops provides a unified environment using full Linux containers, ensuring that code behaves identically from the first line written through to global scale. The funding arrives as cloud expenditures are projected to soar, yet developers still spend only a fraction of their time actually coding. Zerops is positioning its architecture as a critical fix for the "AI agentic wave," launching the Zerops Control Panel (ZCP) to allow AI coding models like Gemini and Claude to build and debug directly within real-world cloud conditions. With this new capital, the company plans to scale its infrastructure across North America and Asia, including the opening of a new data center in Singapore, while continuing to grow its team to meet the demands of human developers and AI agents alike.
